2017 Particpating Breeders

The International Gateway right outside the resort entrance of Epcot will, once again, be transformed into a performance trial garden with its finish timing coinciding with the conference. 2013 was the inaugural year with a secondary trial site at the University of Florida's Orange County Extension Service. Iin 2014, we added a third site: Harry P. Ley Gardens! We're excited for 2017 as we bring even more refinement to the event and its happenings!

Florida's spring season is an ideal time to evaluate plants for garden performance and test their resilience to the heat and humidity of Florida's climate. Participant plant beds will be planted 6 weeks prior to the conference. Breeders will showcase exciting new colors, textures and durability. Each variety will be evaluated by Disney's horticulture team and results will be available to industry. Come see first-hand what will "wow" consumers in the upcoming year!

Brad's Bedding Plants and Speedling were chosen as the official growers for the trials because of their quality growing techniques. They will accept and ensure plant material is ready and at its very best for the on-site installation at all three performance trial sites.
